Tarah Probst for PA House 189
A Proven and
Tarah Probst is a Lifelong Democrat running for Pennsylvania House 189
I am running for Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing portions of Monroe and Pike Counties because we need better representation in Harrisburg. I have been the mayor of Stroudsburg for 6 years and was recently re-elected with 70% of the vote. We have made great progress in our town and in our region. I want to take my hard work, dedication and principles to Harrisburg to better serve the people of our region and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
I will fight for funding and infrastructure for our region and for sensible tax reform that provides immediate relief and provides adequate funding for our schools. We need sensible economic development that supports living wages without putting additional burdens on taxpayers. I will work for quality education, for expanded access to affordable healthcare, and for protecting the rights of all our citizens. I will protect our beautiful open spaces and pristine waterways and will always fight to protect our environment.
I will work across the aisle to deliver bipartisan solutions for Pennsylvania's families.
I am very honored that these individuals and organizations have voiced their support for me and my campaign. These endorsements represent inclusiveness and a genuine responsibility to protect, inform and support our citizens. It is a great asset for our communities to have advocates like these to help us to serve in the best public interest. I am eager to continue my work with these individuals and organizations to pursue our issues together.

I have come to realize there is no higher calling than public service, and it must be done with the highest principles, values and integrity. It gives me a chance to make a difference in people's lives.
I take my public service very seriously. I have worked very hard to provide constituent services to our residents and businesses every day. I have always loved helping people, and through my mayorship, I have truly fell in love with public service. This service has given me the greatest work satisfaction in my life.
